Helping Hands North, Inc.
Colebrook, NH
Helping Hands North, Inc. works with the community to relieve the
burdens of our distressed or underprivileged families. They assist with
providing children's clothing, blankets, sheets, household items, baby
formula an diapers, nursery items, adult winter jackets, children's
shoes and boots, as well as many other everyday things a family might
need.
They also support local food pantries in a variety of ways, including
maintaining supplies as well as providing meals for the less fortunate.
Many of the volunteers who provide assistance to Helping Hands were at
one time or another a recipient of the assistance themselves, and are
now volunteering their time and resources as a way to give back.
The employees at AutoNorth Pre-owned superstore are proud to support
this worthwhile cause.

Berlin Bobcat Softball Program
The
mission of the Berlin Bobcats is to develop young female softball
players from the greater Berlin Area. Started more than a decade ago,
the organization is made up of local volunteers and is a non-profit;
totally self-funded organization. Over the years, the Bobcats have seen
action in both ASA and the Babe Ruth Softball. To cover expenses, the
Bobcats depend on user fees and fund raising efforts.
Currently
there are four age groups within the organization. The brackets within
these age groups are: 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under,
and 16 & under. Normally each team is made up of 12 to 16 girls. In a
typical season, the teams will play between 15 and 25 games. Each team
also usually competes in two tournaments during the spring and summer.
As the girls
progress through the Bobcats organization, the life lessons that they
learn along the way extend way beyond the foul lines and the fences.
